Dr Edel Fitzpatrick

Dr Fitzpatrick completed her undergraduate psychology degree in University of Ulster in 2007 followed by a Masters degree in Applied Psychology (Mental Health)in 2008. She qualified in the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University of Liverpool in 2013.Dr Fitzpatrick worked in the NHS from qualification until August 2024 whereby she specialised in working with children,young people and families. She began working in private practice in 2020 and has specialised in completing medico legal assessments of children and adults who have experienced trauma. Dr Fitzpatrick now works full time at Oaktrees Psychology as a Clinical Director.Dr Fitzpatrick has published research in relation to young people involved in youth justice services. She has completed additional training in CBT; ACT; EMDR; Systemic Therapy; Models of Attachment Practice & Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy.Dr Fitzpatrick is a dog enthusiast and loves spending her free time at the beach.

Dr. Clodagh M. O'Connell

Dr. O'Connell completed her undergraduate Psychology degree at John Moores University, Liverpool followed by a MLitt degree at University College Dublin. After several years working as a Psychology assistant in the NHS, she obtained a place on the Doctorate in Queens University, Belfast, where she graduated from in 2010. Dr. O'Connell worked in the NHS from 2010 to 2024 and has worked with children, young people and families. She has published research in Psychosis Journal (2011) and Schizophrenia Bulletin, (2012). Dr.O'Connell was jointly awarded the student praxis research prize for her doctoral research. Dr. O'Connell now works full-time as a Clinical Director at Oaktrees Psychological Services Ltd. Within this role, she provides medico-legal assessments and reports, personal injury assessments and reports requested by third parties pertaining to an expert psychological opinion. Dr. O'Connell also provides support and advice to children, their families, and professionals through assessment, therapeutic support or consultation. She has specific experience working with young people with neurodevelopmental diagnoses and complex needs. Dr. O'Connell loves dogs and especially her springer spaniel. She also loves to spend time with her family.
